Nadja Kabisch holds a PhD and a Diploma in Human Geography from the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. Since 2011 she is a postdoc at the Humboldt-University of Berlin in the Department of Geography, Landscape Ecology.
Nadja has worked on the FP7 research project GREEN SURGE, in the BfN project Biodiversity and Climate Change (BioClim) and in the two BiodivERsA projects URBES and the very recent one ENABLE. Nadja has wide expertise in nature-based solutions and urban ecosystem services across European cities. Her interest is in urban human-environment interactions and the co-benefits of nature-based solutions on human health and social justice. In July 2017, she starts a 5-year junior research group GreenEquityHealth on the interlinking of urban green spaces, public health and socio-environmental justice in European cities.
