Urban green infrastructure is here to stay and yet it is still not being completely harnessed to help transform our cities. Green space has always been an important part of urban design. However, we need to acknowledge that it is a vital part of the infrastructure of cities.

Technology should help to wire green roofs, walls, parks and landscapes designed to capture rain water into the existing infrastructure. In doing so, nature-based solutions will not only make our cities more resilient, but they will also be healthier and better places to live for both people and wildlife.
