Dr Tijana Blanusa, RHS Wisley and Reading University

Dr Tijana Blanusa is a Principal Horticultural Scientist at the Royal Horticultural Society, UK’s largest gardening charity. She is leading and developing RHS research into ecosystem services provision of urban vegetation,  particularly focusing on what domestic green spaces can contribute. Her interests are in understanding plant traits which contribute to better provision of cooling, rainfall mitigation and air quality improvement.

In the talk, Tijana will provide examples from her recent RHS research on green roofs, walls and urban hedges which highlights plant traits that can be linked to improved provision of multiple ecosystem services.
